The aptly named Oasis is a unique, multi-level, organically integrated hotel hidden away on a hidden street in Manuel Antonio. Minutes from all the conveniences found in Quepos and Manuel Antonio, from the beach and the marina, it feels like you’re far from civilization. Eight discrete rooms arranged throughout the complex are enveloped by the jungle for a rich, tropical experience. All rooms have new fridges, mattresses, microwaves, coffee makers, fans, AC, safes, furniture, with hot water showers and individual outdoor seating spaces. Four of the eight rooms are equipped with kitchenettes. Featured throughout is a unique furniture collection made from a reclaimed wooden ship.

One enters the property through a muraled gate revealing parking for 7 cars to one side and two ground floor rooms to the left. One room has a queen and a twin bed to sleep 3. The second room has 2 queen beds and is outfitted with a wheelchair accessible bathroom, an important accommodation for a Costa Rican hotel licence. Walk past the parking, to a one-bedroom cottage with kitchen, queen bed and veranda facing the creek below.

Ascend the main set of steps to the principal level of the hotel. Pass an outdoor stone jacuzzi, cherished by guests from all over the world, to come upon a terrace adjacent to the owner’s living quarters and currently outfitted as a café where breakfast is served by the chef-owner.

From this terrace, go through sliding glass doors into the owners’ suite split-level open concept living area. The focal point is the enviable chef’s kitchen complete with top-of-the-line professional equipment. Included are the high-powered espresso machine, 2 built-in refrigerators, a third fridge in the pantry, 2 stoves, a propane range top, dishwasher, and counter seating for four. On the patio is a vertical meat smoker, hibachi grill, and BBQ grill.

The kitchen is central to the living space with its stylish blue cabinets, terracotta tile floor, and a solid teak, hand-made dining table that seats 6. Behind the kitchen are: a huge laundry area, and an office with bathroom, allowing for a comfortable and discrete operations area hidden from guests.

This apartment has two bedrooms. One has been converted into a compete gym with all its equipment included in the sale of property. The second bedroom with a queen bed has an ensuite bath which could be reinstated as a Jack and Jill bathroom to serve both bedrooms if desired.

Walk around the owner’s unit to the common recreation area centering around a natural stone pool and its waterfall feature, an outdoor tiki bar with a washroom and storage space adjacent, and 3 poolside rooms, each with queen beds and all the amenities of a full suite. One room even has a jacuzzi tub.

The final two rooms – called the treehouse rooms – are located several flights up overlooking the main hotel. Each room has all the amenities of the others including especially compelling balconies and king beds. Because there’s a connecting door between them, these rooms can be offered together for families or groups wanting shared accommodations.

En route to the treehouse is a viewing platform called the air garden, perfect for watching life in the jungle or as a yoga platform. Originally intended to be finished as a studio apartment, this platform has plumbing, and electricity already installed if you wanted to complete the build and add a room.

The hotel has 3 wifi networks; security cameras throughout; cable and internet. All rooms have smart TVs. It is operated with 5 staff, all able to do double duty, as required.

One lovely feature of this hotel is the handmade solid cypress doors, uniquely designed to identify each room. Because the owner is a chef, he has planted edible plants throughout this property located beside the local creek leading to a lovely waterfall, about a 30-minute hike. This is a turn-key investment opportunity. Everything but the art is included in the purchase price. The current owner has developed his business into a successful hotel serving a diverse clientele. A new owner could continue to expand on the existing success or pivot in any other direction they envision as the property is highly adaptable. …Read Less
