In the first part of the 20th century, Paseo Colon was one of the most prosperous areas of the city. This Victorian Caribbean/Art Nouveau mansion, designed and built by Catalan architect, Lluis Llach, in 1910, with high ceilings, fine details and luxurious finishes, was a true reflection of a time of splendor and progress.

The mansion was built as a 500m2 residence for one of the country’s most prestigious and aristocratic families in 1910. In 1993, the original house was carefully restored and remodeled to preserve the original finishes, and the building was extended with an additional 454 m2 of construction for use as a Boutique Hotel which operated from 1994 to 2020. At that time all of the electrical and plumbing installations were renovated, a new roof and bathrooms were installed and the structure was reinforced.
